Default Thread Identifier hack.
Version: 3.6.x
Hack Category: Add-On Releases

Well currently this is what we are doing to thread titles.

They will put [Release] before there thread title so it would look like this: [Release] Thread Identifier hack

Here is a list of some of the ones im using.
[Release] = hack/mod

[Tutorial] = For Tutorials

[Request} = For asking for stuff

[Info] = For Informative posts

[Question] = For asking Questions

So we ask our members to follow this.

however most of them dont, or they are now using this one

[*request] - which is the one that only the staff are meant to use once they have uploaded the download to the downloads database.

So here is my request.

When they create their thread, have a drop down box where they can choose a list of thread Identifers which the admin has accepted . The first one shown will be a blank one, as I would prefer it to be blank then to show something incorrect.

however I dont want [Request] to be put in the thread title no more, but instead like how the Sticky: is done in this pic http://www.gamerzneeds.net/forums/im...62e1a96e62.jpg

That Sticky: is used from the seperate sticky hack by memory.

But if a Sticky: is already in use then make it Sticky/Request:

Also have an option in the admincp to select what color we would like to make it.

I Would be really greatful if this could be turned into a hack, and i'm sure this would be usefull for others.

Thanks.

Thread prefixes will do pretty much what you're after.
It displays as [prefix] but I think a template edit could change that and set colours.
