Here is something that we have been looking for a long time but with no results.

We run a computer support/news forum it would be nice to be able to pull down feeds from other sites, such as cnet, etc... and have them display in an area on the forums possibly either by SSI or javascript. All this while being able to easily manage feeds from the admin cp.

We used this... http://www.mouken.com/rss/carp/

I had to mod it as it uses the echo function to show what it parsed. I have it on it's own page and have no plans to make anything more of it...Maybe you can do something with it.

Here's our result... http://www.riderinfo.com/forums/news.php

I bought that same program, we were trying to integrate this with a table on our forums. But I think Livewire was having a heck of a time trying to get it work. I think the best bet will be to have it on separate page, this way it will avoid all the drama.

Thanks for your reply!

I threw away the echo. We couldn't use the code in-line that way. We put the parsed data in a Global to send to the template.

Another way to do this would be something along the lines like this.

You must first be a registered member to view any code.
The you just place $shownews where you want it to show. Not tested but should work.

I know where it is. I've seen it, but never had a use for it, thus never looked it up.
