New Threads Point system

I had this idea for people to contribute to your forums.

For every thread a person creates in certain forums he gets 5 points. These points add up. Now when he wants to reply to someone else THREAD in those certain forums he needs at least 1 point to do so. And when he does reply he will get 1 point deducted from his points count.

This will force people to post new threads on your forums and contribute and not just be replying all the time.

It would be kool if these reply points would be shown in trhe user profilke field and in the postbit to let others know as well.

But there are some other things as well.

Say Member 1 posts a new thread. Member 2 has 5 points and wants to reply to the thread but does not want to see the hidden text in the LOCKDOWN FEATURE ( forget to mention that was the purpose of this hack was for hehe). He is just replying to tell someone something or what not. There would then be a check box or something

NOT FOR LOCKDOWN. or what ever.

This is so points dont get deducted from the user.

So apparently this would have to work with the LOCKDOWN made by PAX TRAX. I think this would be a great feature. If you think u can help please do. I would love to see a feature like this.

Ya i neede help haha. I will try looking into coding it but wont no how far i will get. I know i am going to have a lot of trouble with the button for not wanting to view the lockdown so i feel it would be better if someone else can help me out. I hope someone can do something.

dude you are the greatest. I would definatley donate some money to you if you could get this to work because this would be the mother of my forums. This would be the system it is revolved around.

amazing. Its only for certain forums. I want it to give 5 points to the users on new threads in forumids of 7 and 10 and 2 points in the forumids of 11 and 8.

And for the people replying to the thread. They need to have at least 1 point to reply to the lockdown in forum ids of 10. and when they do reply it substracts one of there count.

But remember If i create a thread in forum id 7 i get 5 points. but if i reply i dont want it the be decreasing on me. ;)
