Is it possible to have a maunal pub checker thats not linked to lockdown.
so when members check the url they can select its staus and that staus shows on that forums index page under the title of thread.

Its just that we dont use lockdown, but this hack is great to allow us to find replacement or delet thread.

how is your ftp info stored ?

When members post http or ftp links they put them in the post, normally with around the link, but it would be nice if a member uses the link and if it dont work, or its slow etc they can select one of the options and select the update button, it will let other members know the status of the link.

It would require the use of regular expressions to this and searching the thread text for the correct info.

Im guessing the regular expressions already exist in vbulletin since it auto parses urls when a user posts.

I hate regex stuff so im not prepared to write the hack for you sorry.
