Hi,

After a quick search here and at vb.org, I was rather surprised to discover that this hasn't already been done.

When a user edits his post, the "last edited by..." is added to the message based on the time delay set in admincp and of course if his usergroup permissions have "show edited by" enabled.

I'd like to give the user the OPTION to show "edited by" if he edits his post, regardless of how long it's been since he created the post.

Perhaps a simple tickbox "Show Edited By? Yes/No?" along with the other tickboxes when editing a post...?

I can't imagine that this is a major undertaking, and imho should be a feature built right in, but it's not, so that's my request. Anyone point me to a hack like this? Or better yet, create one for 3.6x ?

did you look in the usergroup options ?

you can disable the "edited by".. I know I've done it for clients

Does anyone know if a hack like this exists anywhere else so I can go hunt for it? The only two sources I am aware of for good hacks are here and vb.org.
