I'm looking to add an integrated audio/mp3 player to a forum. For what it's worth, I have a slim flash based mp3 player ( http://musicplayer.sourceforge.net/ ) that I've used before that works great and I added the code into the header for it. Works fine, but the problem is everytime you click something on the forum (thread, section, user, etc.) the entire page is reloaded, header included, so the flash mp3 player resets everytime you do that. Is there a way to keep this from happening, and/or is there some existing plugin/hack available that will accomplish what I'm wanting? I'd like to be able to have an integrated audio player that would stream mp3's for the user to listen to while navigating the site. I'd like the user to be able to start/stop, adjust volume, and go to the next track. I'm not concerned with the user being able to select songs/files, or upload anything. I'm wanting to specify the mp3's to be used/included on the backend behind everything.

it sounds cool idea to have, the only problem is indeed making it play throughout all pages, with no interruption in middle of it, when pressing clicks.
i guess the only way of making this might be using some kind of skin that will make the top header in some sort of IFRAME and all stuff and forums below in another IFRAME, so the main page isn't reloaded every time.

I think that mp3 player must be in a pop-up

problem with pop-up it might not sound it if window is out of focus...

Haven't had much time lately since posting this to really mess with it, but I plan to dedicate some time to it this weekend. Maybe I can come up with some workable solution. If I do, I'll be sure to post what I come up with.
