If you're looking for a hack which allows you to use vb usernames + p***words for htaccess files: I think it's possible, and think it was made for 3.0.x. However, afaik there is no hack for 3.5 like this.

Just google ".htaccess protection" or something and you'll find the code for a simple p***word form, incase you don't have cpanel.

Google it next time ;).

Quote:
Require p***words to enter a certain area
Here is the .htaccess code to require p***words:

AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile /home/user/.htp***wd
AuthGroupFile /dev/null
AuthName "Members Area"
require valid-user
You'll probably need some type of script to manage the actual p***word list,
unless you only want one person to be able to enter, such as an admin page.
Just google .htp***wd to find a name/p*** generator.

edit: all the *** need to be replaced by a.ss without the dot.

What a basic htaccess does is simply add one username/password to the area. So just add a new password and mass PM the usergroups with the name and password for the area, and repeat that every month or so.

Just google ".htaccess howto" and ".htpasswd howto" and you'll find what you need.
