Default How do you create a template you can call?

I have a special footer I need to call in several templates.

I would like to have the footer be a plugin or template and be able to call it using $footer2.

$footer2 would be a call to the plugin or template, if you can call a template like that? All it would have it in would be HTML.

How would I set something like this up, seems simple but I've never created a plugin before.

If you adds this code to the global_start plugin (wrong plugin?) and change the data needed to be changed it will work
You must first be a registered member to view any code.

Don't forget to add it to the $globaltemplates array, else it'll cost an extra query.
