Featured Threads of the day back?

Hello

I was wondering if it is easy to make a featured thread of the day hack. A mod, supermod, or admin could look around and choose a few threads that could be featured. Those threads could then appear on forum home or any where.

I got the idea from the site point forum home. They have their forum titles in a column on the left and featured threads of the day appear on the right. I wouldn't really want that kind of style for my forum home but it would be nice to be able to put something like $featuredthreads and get a listing like that site over there.

Does it really need to go back in history? Can't it just be today?

Sorry for the late reply. How about something like last X days. Or the latest X threads that were featured?
