Can anyone help me out with displaying the current results of a poll and the current poll question on the index of my site without having to use a vb CMS system.

If you're a bit expierenced with coding you can copy/paste the code used in a CMS system, and change some of the variables to fix values, or variables of your own.

I ended up just figuring out how to do it on my own. I used a html - graph software to generate the graph after pulling the options / votes apart.
