Default call scrooling news from a forum

is there a way to make a forum called news and then male a templet and have it displayed on the forum index is a scrolling marquee type fashion? i know there are things like scrollieng news but an admin needs to enter that in admin pan i need something that is done from a forum section where mods and supermods can do it thanks

Why not just add the scrolling news thing into the modcp so they can do it?

for security reasons i've done away with mod cp and only 2 mods me with complete acess other limited its hard to keep a tight ship but is this possiable?

hmmm, if i did understand you, you want scrolling news for each forum, like DCForum have am i right?

what i actually want is 1 scrolling type news called from 1 specfic forum similar to the news section you use on a portal you type the news in the news forum and it displays on the portal page but i want it on the forum home similar to the scrolling news is this a little clearer? thanks for the help amd happy new year!!

hmm... so you want "news" for each forum, that the moderators of the forum \ smods \ admins will be able to modify it, isnt it so?

no just on the main forum index i want it to call from a single forum say like if i goto the boardnews forum and make a post in there saying "upgrading tonight expect downtime" i want that to scroll on the board index above the navbar
