hi i need a hack that will let bots see all the pages on my site not only restricted to what the guests see

Well you need to alter the global file to change the $show['guest'] to false if it's a search egine but you also have to get the search engine conditional...

there was a hack made for this but its for 3.5

i need someone to get it to work on 3.6

whats the point ?
have hidden forums, but users can search google and see the info ?

this is also cloaking and I strongly suggested against this..

it says in the thread on vbulletin.org that it is not cloaking and google didn't have a prob with it

if your showing different content to spiders then to guest, yes it is cloaking ;)

Have you actually tried that hack on 3.6 because from looking at the coding it seems fine.

Hello,

I'm using this hack at my board v. 3.6.4 but it seems not to be working, since google bot and other bots are seeing no permission message when trying to view any thread...

Any way to make this work with 3.6.x ?
This is one of the best hacks, because it helps google to index all my pages...

It's a security hazard, people can easily cloak themseleves as search engines and then post messages in private forums as "Google Bot" or something like that.
