to all coders in this forum please help me

how do you write the following condition for vBulletin:
if this post message contains a certain text string (example "MUST-THANKS")

I tried
if ($this->post['message'] == "MUST-THANKS")
if ($this->post['message'], 'MUST-THANKS') > 0)
if ($this->post['message'], "MUST-THANKS") > 0)
if (substr_count($this->post['message'], 'MUST-THANKS') >0)
if (substr_count($this->post['message'], 'MUST-THANKS') != null)

but none seemed to work

I can't believe no one is even trying to help
I am disappointed... or maybe I just don't realize how hard this is o_o

do you think this could work sirs master coders?

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

well it doesn't work but i'd like to know why and how to fix it ....

will see towards next week if possible to put your request in me & whitemike dev TO-DO list ;)

just checking to see i understood you, you request some kind of bbcode similar to hide hack, when only reply reveals it's content, specifically requesting "thank you" button instead of specific reply.
am i correct there ?

if you are putting that in bbcode it's not going to work, you can't put conditionals in bbcode..

But if that's plugin code you might want something more like:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
But that if is ugly.

yes a plugin activated thro a bbcode (bbcode that just stamps 'must-thank' in post)

how removing eval( helps?
I tried your code but it didn't work at all:

attachements in posts that don't have 'must-thanks' still don't display attachements if not thanked

I believe your conditional is useless, You can do that with an edit around the attachment code in the template.
