Autoclose a thread after X replies

Would be great if such a hack would be released.
I think it should be Admincp Controlled so every forum ID could be set to another amount of replies on a thread.

I don't really see the point in it ?
If a thread is popular and many people reply, and all by a sudden the thread
gets automatically closed, why ?

Because it's an option I need for my board.
So if somebody could try and code it, would be nice

plus it can be used for promo / contest / giveaways like

first 10 people to reply get a FREE email

or

first 20 to reply gets blah blah blah .......

so such a hack can be very useful

I would guess this is not what the author of this request had in mind, though it doesn't really matter - everyone with his own reasons ;)

There is already such hack posted for the 3,0,x system.
the idea should be same, just need to port it as plugin for the 3.5.x system.
if no-one will port it soon enough, when my exams are over & i'll have more time - i will create such & release it here.

Thnx for this link but it is not what I am looking for.
This CRON closes all threads after X posts.
I am looking for a MOD where you can choose which sections must close after X replies. Not all threads.

Hope somebody can create this, admincp controlled.

This mod could be developed further. Instead of only closing after x posts let the siteadmin to close it on a specific date (choose the date when making the first post).
