Adding a Thread status Icon

Hi

I want to add a thread status icon which shows when a member of a special usergroup posted. I think it can be done through the unctions_forumdisplay.php and maybe some adds to a template. But I dont know very much about PHP and MySQL and so I need help.

So is there anybody who can help me here?

you want to add some icon next to his nick, or next to the title of his message?

anyways, just go to forumdisplay.php ->

change IMAGE_NAME.JPG to the image name that you want, change XX to what ever group id that you want.
you can keep adding groups, by doing (else if ($... ).

go to threadbit template, add $group_img where ever you want it to be displayed.

You are right it works. But it doesnt work very well. At the moment it works only if the thread creator is from the specified usergroup.
Would it be possible to build in a link on the image that you directly get to the first post of a user of the specified usergroup in the thread?

Yeah I would like to have that it also works if there is just a post of a user from a special usergroup (atm it works only for the Thread Creator).

Would be also nice to have a link at the icon which directs you to the first poster in this thread from a user of this special usergroup.

so basicly what you are asking is to do like DC system have? icon for super moderator, moderator, administrator... etc' ?
