Default Add User Quick Search to AdminCP Home
Version: 3.6.x
Hack Category: Administrative and Maintenance Tools

One of the features I seem to use a lot is the Quick Search found on the Search For Users page (users.php?do=modify). When I go to the Admin CP, it takes several clicks to get there and I would like to simplify the process by adding it to the CP Home page.

Can I add:

to:

Would it possibly be as simple as adding this code from user.php:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
to a location in the Admin CP index.php like:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Or is there a lot more to it than that? Can someone talk me through it?

Thank you for any help,

Jim

$vbphrase must work in the php scripts of vB because it's right there. The code I posted came from php files (user.php and index.php) located in the admincp folder.

What plug-in are you referring to?

Jim

I'm sorry, but you may have me confused with someone who understands what you just posted. I can see you are quoting different parts of the code I posted, but I don't know what you are trying say about it. The code I posted is stock code -- I didn't alter a thing -- so I don't know what the code means exactly. If you could be a little more instructional, I would appreciate it.

As further information, I tried to add the code I posted, but only got an empty module with bullets and no links to the Quick Search items. At least I answered one of my questions: it's not as simple as that.

Again, any of you php coding geniuses, your assistance would be appreciated.

Jim
