See that's one of the things putting people (well, me at any rate. I'm guessing others too) off coming here. This bad attitude that's adopted by some people.

Senna said: all I see is you going into discussion with him
ntfu2 said: i dont recall attacking him
And now ntfu2 has his sig changed to vbulletin.org. Okay, that'll help.

It's this instant defend attitude. Senna said one thing and asked a personally reasonable question, ntfu2 decided to read another and huff and sigh. How is anything going to get resolved with assumptions galore and fingers on the big red button of attack?
People aren't saying "hmm, I have a different view, maybe I misunderstood something, why don't you tell me your side and we'll find out where the problem is", people are saying "I don't really care about your viewpoint because I've already decided you're an idiot".

It makes for a great atmosphere, really.

The really funny thing is pretty much everyone here is an admin and admins are supposed to be the maturist of the mature, rising above all insults and thinking ahead for the best of the community as a whole, rather than their own agenda. It's really quite amusing. Mind, it does give a nice list of who's forums not to become a part of.

And I agree with Paul, instead of tackling the problem of over-inflated egos who think they're better than everyone else, threads just get closed until the next one starts up, repeat until the only people left are newcomers in need of help and regulars who bicker over their pride.

well said my friend
i've noticed a few of your post's recently and it seems you have similar thinking to me

this is the attitude i want too see friendly and active...oh and supportive of anyone with problems with vBulletin (hence why we are here)

And i did suggest a viable fix to rex but by the looks of things he disguarded that.

The third quote you just added was retalliation, you previous post says:
Quote:
ok ntfu2, where is this your place to talk? Yes i am a reseller, and guess what? my account on this server has unmetered bandwidth transfer, and the reason from my host says space is "unlimited" beacuase they say with the price of technology being so cheap they will be able to slap in a bigger hard drive if needed. And also how am i misleading customers? the only way that customers get discouraged from a reseller is cause of idiots like you
So i think he was fine to retilate. First two quotes were not attacks they were statements.

And I don't think this was called for either: http://www.vbhackers.com/showthread....7883#post37883

Then if it's not unreasonable for me to ask... why are you (generic term for all staff) allowing 'bad' threads to drag out for as long as they do without doing anything, and why do they keep recurring?

i totaly agree with your saying bairy, and really sorry i wasn't here few hours sooner (just came back home from close friend wedding).
assuming this thread will continue the "direction" it's going for the last 4-5 posts, it is about to be closed very soon.
i wouldn't want to see any flaming & bashing thread around here - as this isn't really representing in any way the "true spirit" around here, and i'm really sorry any other staff member didn't resolved this in other way before it reached this point. (or even closed thread for that matter to avoid any further flaming).
if someone has some differences with another staff member there are way better ways to solve them - via some IM for example, but PLEASE don't use this thread (that starting to be huge bashing off-topic) for bashing one another.
