Default VbHackers Site Suggestions
Reason: Feedback on Vbhackers

At vBHackers we are always looking to improve the site, to make it easier to use and more enjoyable for everyone members, staff and guests.
If we were to change the current layout and style, what would you really like to see?
Do you like fluid styles, fixed styles?
Do you prefer graphic heavy styles or not.
Legacy postbit or postbit?
Would you like a portal, etc etc..

Let us know in this thread what you would like at vbhackers to make it better. Please be constructive ( No i hate blue posts).
We look forward to reading your suggestions and hopefully implementing the best ones.

choice of fluid/fixed (only a few minor changes in the actual style so that should be easy)

fast loading, CSS based skin (at least header/footer)

legacy postbit unless its a CSS based skin, then legacy doesn't work well

portal, as long as it has useful/relevant info on it... most portals don't!

I like fluid, legacy, and green ........... I dislike forums with heavy graphics.

Choice is always a bonus.

I like about a 850px fixed style and a portal wouldn't be to bad

Whatever style you opt for I wouldn't suggest using green. Something that isn't graphic extensive but still visually appealing would be the best bet so colour implementation would be key here.

If your going to opt for css changes on then get yourself someone who can implement good colour usage using a 3 colour system (possibly 4).

I would like to see some kind of portal but this would need to have information which is beneficial to the community intead of information that doesn't benefit anyone and/or information that people already know.

Functionality would be key here and some kind of community interactivity like polls and/or a comment system.

I agree. Interactivity and human engineering is important in any good design. Personally I can't stand legacy as it is so worn out :p CSS is good. As long as the pages load fast I don't worry if it uses images. Unless you want to see a bunch of boring tables it's going to need some images anyway. How they're used is the key. There needs to be a balance.
