As we all know, on vB.org there really is no remedy for porting hacks to vB3 when the original hacker of the vB2 mod has "left the building". They insist that you get permission via email even when the emails are never answered and the hacker no longer posts on vB.org.

Will orphaned hacks be allowed to be ported here?

You may port any hack you wish to port. I acually encourage this seeing as not many vb2 hackers are around anymore to port there hacks. And seeing as most of all the code will be diffrent, you wouldn't be ripping someone eles work. Just using there idea for a diffrent software.
