Thanks for pointing out the option...

And yes Idan... Having been on hundreds of vBulletin forums, I just quickly go through the ones I always change and that's that. I'm sure most of you are the same way.

I can relate to this comment ^

I disagree with regards to the right handed side panel. I think it serves as a usefull shortcut and functionality was the key here when it was first implemented. That said, I think with the side panel taken out the forum would look a little weired stretched to a 100%.

To further elaborate on the whole structure, if anything the way vbhackers layout is implemented the use of space as been utilitized very well.

With regards to change 1 from SirAdrian, I would definetely disagree with the removal of the modifications. With that removed, vbhackers wouldn't really serve any purpose, that alone wouldn't give members any reason whatsoever to register here.

I know from a contributors stance, that vbhackers have made contributing very easy and being able to provide support for your modifications that all to easy simply by the whole way it's layed out and structured.

Another reason for my #1 point - there are 3-4 other sites now that offer vBulletin modifications, and I still can't find a good site that actually has vbulletin hacking discussion.

While I'm *****ing about minor annoyances (lol), I hate the first breadcrumb you guys have (a / b > c > d)... The a link points to the domain name which just redirects back to b. If you are going to do this, use a portal page or something (which would further clean up the current index page).

My real problem goes back to the lack of hacker discussion forums. For the domain name "vbhackers.com", one would assume this site was about hacking vbulletin. Okay, so how many forums are there on this topic? None. The closest thing is vBulletin discussion and vBulletin support.

I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything, I am just very disappointed lately without actual hacker forums where I can get a good discussion going. With the number of vBulletin-discussion forums growing, I expect one to materialize sooner or later. I understand that everything has a different view for this place (thats my flame shield).

To further unorganize my post, here is what the pattern seems to be for each new vBulletin-mods site:

Step 1: hacker community
Step 2: add modifications
Step 3: remove hacker community and add modifications community
Step 4: coders leave to new site {REPEAT}

It appears vB.org followed this same pattern...

In the past we had a portal page, the plans for a new one (even alot of code / templates etc.) are already done, but because we are waiting on the new owner things are going slow, very slow.

I really like SirAdrian's input. I personally wouldn't want to remove the released hacks section, but maybe focus more on the hacking part itself. In order to really keep any hacking community alive, you have to help build each generation of vBulletin hackers.

I'd like to see vBHackers focus more on the vBulletin code hacking. Helping users understand PHP, and vBulletin with how to's, text and video tutorials. Then we would encourage more members to hack some scripts for themselfs and show them off. ;)

Hey wb.

I more or less agree with most people in this thread to keep the hacks otherwise alot of hard work would be undone. But also helping more coders learn to code means there will be more hacks released. +Video tutorials are always great fun ;)

I agree 100% ;)

I have always felt that two things were very important; a mentoring program, and a teaching category. This would build a solid foundation for the next generation of hackers to come
