Default Advanced Coding Forum
Reason: Feature suggestions

Kind of like the Private Coders forum on vborg could we have an advanced coding forum where you don't put questions like where is the vb options more advanced one's like ajax questions and that kind of thing. You could make it viewable to all (- guests :p) or just viewable to coders. Just an option.

Regards,
Nick.

Hm. What about making it viewable to all, but making it so that only coders can post?

Even though I am not a coder, that makes sense. I think you guys would need a place to confer and trade notes without a bunch of know-nothings poking their noses in... like this post! :p

And how does that encouage new coders to be born? Most of us learned from the questions we asked. If this is supposed to be a 'ego' forum just for coders then that's is one thing, but if it's supposed to be a support forum then shouldn't it 'support' all members equally well? If someone's not interested in the forum then they will naturally not visit it anyway right? So why exclude those newbies from learning that want to become new coders? Just wondering :paranoid:

No, you can keep the old forum there, just make a new forum for Advanced Coding That has more complicated questions like ajax questions... Plus once your a coder then you are able to help if you can. It just to seperate the easy questions from the hard.

But how are they going to get that far and become a coder if they can't ask questions and LEARN? :paranoid:

THEY CAN! You keep the normal forum open just add a new one, i am not saying don't allow anyone to ask questions, just seperate the hard one's from the easy one's.

I was addressing this to which you agreed:

If everyone would be free to ask questions and learn then it's a great idea. If nothing else then it should at least be a sub-forum.
