I am pretty sure if the actually LOG OUT, then they will disappear off the radar. If they just close their browser they will show as online for quite some time.

That is what the timed log out is for. Mine is set for 600 seconds or 10 minutes.

That setting just logs you out after X time. If you have your cookie set (that little check box) then you will be automatically be logged in everytime you visit any page on your forum.

If you don't have the cookie set and it times out you will have to log in again (enter password, etc) whenever you return to the forum.

Everytime you visit a page (or refresh a page) while you are logged in that cookie is reset and the timer starts over.

I see, right now my site shows 447 members online now even we have only 1400 registered mebers , ha ha it's better than the Fake forum hack
