Is there such a thing or possible way to do a restriction on who can view the vbshout archive?

Some how the link to it has gotten out around the site and members are deleting each other's posts and its pretty much chaos with the shoutbox. I searched around and couldn't find a fix. Since I think just supermods can delete them, is there a way to restrict supermods from deleting posts from the archive?

If it's just super mods aren't they more.. er.. retrained/mature? I'd suck mods who were running riot on the board.
