Default vBExternal Help

Hello mates. I recently 'tried' to install the vBExternal hack for my forums, and failed lol. It seems simple enough, but somehow I can't figure it out. I put the code provided in the installtion instructions right at the top of my php file.

Quote:
<?php
chdir('./forums');
require_once('./vBExternal.php');
?>
I changed the directory to my forum directory (/goalforums.net/htdocs/forums)

And then I put one of the codes provided to test it out, but it didn't work. I saw a blank page basically. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Please help.

----
Thanks
~Buz

Ok, so. Mate, could please explain what I do after I put that code on the top of my page? This is what I have currently.

Quote:
<?php
require_once('vBExternal.php');
?>
<?php
output_UsersOnline();
?>
When I upload that file in my site's root directory as index.php, All I see is a blank page. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Eh... I tried putting in some normal text along with the php codes. Normal text doesn't show up either. Just thought you might wanna know.
