Default Users Getting Kicked Off

I have this problem on my forum where users are being kicked off from the forum even if I already adjusted the cookie time for the members. What would be the best thing to avoid this?

Check your cookie domain. It should be .yoursite.com

The setting that I am using is the default one which is [blank]

I changed it as suggested and I am observing the effect.

I managed to login again but still other users are being kicked off even if I changed the settings of the cookie domain.

Leave the cookie domain as .yourdomain.com and have them delete their cookies. It should work after that.

Here is the update on this one, when I try to refresh the page sometimes all users viewing the forum are kicked off and only me will be the one left.

I have an increasing traffic, what would be the suggested cookie timeout setting for my board?

Keep the time out at default (I think it is 15 minutes). It should not kick them off, I really think its their cookies if they have not cleared them.
