Default Upgrading?

im currently running vb3 rc2, and i wanted to upgrade to vb3 gold... but for some reason.... it tells me this...

"We have detected that you have already tried to run the upgrade script. You will not be able to proceed unless you revert to a vB 2.2.x/2.3.x database."

now correct me if im wrong, all im suppose to do is copy the install folder into the existing forum folder, that will be upgrade right? I mean... I might of tried and done it be4, but i never ACTUALLY did it.... thats why i see it so weird... any idea guys?

You have to replace ALL of your .php files with the new ones. Make sure you includes/config.php is still the same. Then go to /install/install.php and it will take over from there. ;)

Try that, if all fails PM me.

dont go through /install/install.php that will run clean install which is not what you want to do.
do /install/upgrade.php

/install/install.php will automaticly check the database and redirect to the correct upgrade file. Either or will work fine.
