nice to see an open vbb hacks community couldnt help but to register. To start up i'd like to point out a thing that will be helpfull for me and prolly to other members too.

As we know vbb has a built in spychecker to see if people's vbbs are legit or not, thus implying that release groups have to make sure they spyfix/nullify the board so it doesnt make sort of a connection to vbulletin.

After reading the announcements and rules i know i cant post nor ask for copyrighted material, but as talking about piracy and hacking is permitted around here i thought i might give this subject a try so the less fortunate users like me could enjoy and learn about the great board that is vbb.

It's a bugger to find out your board has been tracked down and closed and that each of your members and posts has been forced to wiped out. Even if so called groups release spyfixed/nullyfied versions of vbulletin, theres always a slight chance that it might not have been properly fixed.

This thread serves that matter as how could we be sure the vbb board we have is properly fixed. If anyone knows how to make sure the board is safe and how to fix the code so it is, that would be of a great help for me and im sure to other users as well.

As of vbb version 3.0.0 gold two groups afaik have released it.

both should be spyfixed but i heard rumours about the iMAGiNE one not being properly done.

Do anyone have any hint on if these are properly fixed or how to be sure they are?

The only thing i could see going back vb is the license number checker (maybe) and the versions of vb that is availble. Then again i never looked threw all the code 'yet'. But taking the license number checker off is pretty simple as well as the calls for the next version out.

First off - any "further infos" as you put it would be a violation of copyright law and we would not allow it to transfer across our servers so don't give out the info's

Second of which as far as I've looked, WDYL is okay, the imagine i haven't had a chance too but I haven't heard of any problems.

Now if you have some guidelines about what to edit into the script to make it Spyfix, thats what this thread was meant to be.

Again, rumours about the iMAGiNE release was that..

adminfunctions.php contains

also, theres have been statement about some licence checking leftovers in authenticate.php.

finally, vbulletin-settings.xml contains several linking to vb.com

This is only _few_ exemples of what was brought by fellows around. As stated before, i'm kinda a newbie when comes to these things and i think alot of people are too. I know you guys have prolly have your shares of hours scripting vbb, thus asking you what do you think about the different things that were brought up? Could they really be a threat? How did WDYL managed on these same files? Maybe the infos we will try to stack in this thread will help members checking if future release are properly fixed or not? That would be great
