Default Something wrong with my Domain

I'm not sure whether this is meant to go here, but anyways....
i have recently bought a domain for my forum, and every page you go on it says the name of the website in the address bar, if you get me. for example,
this website is
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
, but the page i am on now is
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
where as on mine it just says the address (e.g www.vbhackers.com) without the /forum/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=22 after it, on every page you go on.

why is this? thanks

if this is unclear then please say and i will try to say it even clearer!

My guess, your domain is a simple empty page, with a big frame, with your website in it.

yes it is like that for everyone who views it.
I bought my domain name from www.godaddy.com,
and it is a .net domain.

I think that i may have done something wrong with the domain masking, im not too sure though, im kind of new to registering new domain names, as you can probably tell, but what i done was place the current domain for my website, (which was something along the lines of
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
) into where it says, 'target for domain' or something along them lines, if you know what i mean!
I have most probably done something wrong with the settings i used for registering the domain. Im just not sure!

I hope that makes things clearer everyone!

I think you'll need to use an IP instead of an adress to which you set the domain.

I'm not sure myself though, my partner always handles that kind of stuff when I set up a website :p.

a domain name is just basically a redirect service
it won't replace your original link/addy

if you hover over a forum and look at the bottom of your web browser you will see the real link, but at the top in the address bar it will always mask it and place your purchased domain name there.

Hmmmm not sure if thats clear or not.

yes that is clear thanks, but do you know how i would make it so that (like this site) it has the rest of the information after the domain name? e.g
forum/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=23571

that would only be possible via your host itself.
contact them to change your domain- they will prob charge for this though
