While looking in the threadbit, $thread[preview] is already used in there.

In forumhome_forumbit_level2_post, I noticed this $lastpostinfo[trimthread]

I played with $lastpostinfo[trimthread] and the thread description disappeared.

Is there something like $lastpostinfo[trimthread] that will show the full description of the thread post? Or maybe someone could point me in a direction where I can view a list of these phrases (are these called phrases? i'm a newbie)?

i know the $thread[preview] is used by default, only suggested it in the first place as this array will contain preview of the posttext, as i assumed you didn't want to display entire post text (i see no sense to post all text, as this could be very long text)
if you still insist on full description, not sure tbh, but i think adding an extra query will do it (or track down the code inside forumdisplay.php that puts info into "preview" array field, and change code to save post.pagetext into another var before text is trimmed down...)

Sounds like a lot of work for a newbie like me. I played around with $lastpostinfo[lastthread] and it seems to do what I want it to do, so I guess this is the only alternative I have. Thank you so much Idan and friends in helping me become this much closer to modify vb. =) You guys FN rock!!!!

That would be vb options > forum list > thread title length.
