Question Post Thanks Search

Hi, sorry i was unhelpful in that last post, I gave you nothing to work with. I've narrowed down where I want to get that result from

Okay, my main issue here is that for some reason I can't display the $post[post_thanks_amount] data or any other field in my search results, and I want to add this particular bit of information.

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

I'm trying to include post_thanks_amount in the search results, so they show up in the gif above...

Can anyone help me PLEASE!! I've been really trying to suss this out to no prevail...

Isn't this the thanks hack from Abe? That already has a search feature :ermm:

Yes, but the search_postbit template will only allow me to display views, postid, replycount, text and title. To this I want to add post_thanks_amount; or rather the number of thanks that post has got.

This is Abes hack. You need to contact him for how to alter it. The best place to do that would be in his thread for this hack at .org

What, vBulletin.org?

I can't access that because I'm not the owner of that particular copy of vBulletin....

Okay, ignore the idea of it being just about his hack. I want to be able to put a new value into the search_postbit template, so my search results have values other than replies, views... is there any way you can help me with that

You can always register at vb.org, even if you don't have a license. So you can always contact the hack author too, you only can't read the code snippets and so on, but you do can pm ;)

Btw, I'm not saying there won't be anyone around here that will help you out if they have the time/knowledge.

I sussed it out... I simply had to add post.post_thanks_amount to the search queries in search.php and not in post_thanks.php as I'd previously thought!
