Default Problem with Chat / And other question

Hey guys!

This picture can explain my problem by itself:

Can you guys see in the bottom part where it says THERE HAVEN'T BEEN ANY MESSAGES IN THE PAST 30 DAYS.

Is there a way to exclude that box?

Because that is just like a main category. We won't post any messages in it. Did you guys understand what I mean?

Also how can I configure my forum to show all topics by default, instead of just last 30 days.

Thx a lot!

That's the same box that all your threads show in. If you get rid of it then your threads won't have anyplace to be displayed ;) You should be able to keep that "30 day" message from showing up by editing your forum categories. It's in the Forum Manager and they call it "Default View Age". Simply set it to "Show all threads"

Yeah I know but this category of the forum won't get any topics. It is just to organize it.

Can't I disable to box for certain categories?

If I understand you differently from colonel ingus: Yes it is most likely possible just go into the forum display templates and then add a conditional depending on forumid.

I'm not sure a conditional would work correctly for something like that. However as long as you back everything up then you'd have nothing to lose by trying. Learning about how vB works is always a positive thing

Other question:

We have like a radio:

mms://201.6.219.42:8080/

Is it possible to integrate with the forums somehow?

Like put a little player on the home forum or something like that?

Thx so much once again!

Sorry for even more questions, but I got another one:

Is it possible to change the colors of just one section of the forum.

For example, we have one part of the forums just for girls. If people click to go to that area, is it possible to change the color scheme to like pink/etc?

Thx a lot!
