Mirc and sub-forums access

is there a script to restrict access to threads / sub-forums, based on member idling on irc or not ?
Or any clues, ideas etc

I have seen it on a few boards, where you cannot get inside a thread or section if you are not idling on the channel in mirc.
That is a neat add-on.

ShavedApe made it, but it's quite alot of work/thinking. Maybe I'll release a PoC. (Proof of Concept) code wich you can modify to fit your needs.

which thread are you referring to ?
