Default little problem with vb3.5.3

Just recently installed a fresh install of vb3.5.3 on a subdir of my site with seperate cookies from the mainboard.

Now if I want to visit my site directly from the index.php it gives me this well known error:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
However if I first login to the admincp (with admincp/index.php) and then follow the link to the forum home page it does open the page.

Anyone knows how to fix this and/or why it is caused?

That is weird.

Doesn't that mesage show up if you haven't ran "install.php"?
I doubt that's the problem though.

I'm sorry, Ike.

Right click the page that gives you that error and post the results here.

any chance u installed it on same DB (with same prefix), and that it's using some plugins you've made prior to the 3.5.3 board version (like 3.5.1,2) ??
as it does seems to try loading something that isn't there or has ivalid query to db.
weird :\

different db on same host, fresh install of vb 3.5.3 with only one mod and yes it is the mod that causes it and I sent a pm to the author of the mod, but it only happens when you are not logged in, must be something with a hooklocation I think

Ike, open a new thread in the PC-forum with the SQL error and paste the code used for the hook. Thats a simple fix if I'm reading everything right.
