Latest Threads issue

I have this hack installed all working Last X threads in forumhome for a specific forum.

but it is showing the thread up as latest everytime theres a new reply, i only require it to show a new thread in a given section not the latest reply. Not a coder as such but can't see anything obvious to change to make it lastest thread rather than latest reply in that thread.

Hope that makes sense to someone
