Default how do i make a page blocked unless user pass?

like u know how u go to vbulletin.com and then u go to the members area well you try too but you have to login with a user name and pasS? is there anyway i can make 1 so if sum1 clicks on sumthing on my site they would have to have a user name and pass to go there?

Using .htaccess and .htpasswd files on your webserver.

Umm... i guess he wants the same thing as vB's Member's Area... different from the forum.
