Default How do I hardcode background highlights (color fills) for text?

How do I hardcode background highlights (color fills) for message box text, without leaving nasty visible code while in Full WYSIWYG Editing mode?

For example, the Microsoft Word program offers the capacity to color the text font itself, but one can also highlight (color fill) the white space behind the portion of text selected.

Unfortunately, the following code for background highlights (for color filling the white space behind the text, as opposed to the text font itself) leaves nasty written code still visible even in the Full WYSIWYG Editing mode.

Can this be hacked or hardcoded without a script? Textual background highlights are a common option among Word Processors.

Add New BB Code

Title: Highlight

Tag: highlight

Replacement: <span style="background-color: {option}">{param}</span>

Example: [*highlight*]Look ma, I'm highlighted![*/highlight*]

Description: Highlights some text.

Use {option}Yes No

Yes, this is exactly what I mean. Is there a way to hardcode this into the VBulletin program? Or perhaps a hack that may be available?

Wow, thanks. This looks like it's going to be a great program.

Now how would I install this file? I've opened by website /cpanel and see the ftp manager before me on my screen. What's next?

EDIT: Oops, no problem. I found the directions in the hack folder, so I'm now installing it through my VBulletin program instead. I guess that I don't have to go directly through the FTP site.

No problem Reighnskye I made this hack because I couldn't believe that vB didn't include something like this a standard equipment :ermm:

BTW I made it so that you can change the colors if you need to. Just be careful and use 'universal' colors or some browsers won't accept it.

Glad you like it. Enjoy it in good health Reighnskye
