Default Heres an interesting one... replying to a specfic user

Lets says i have a user who makes a post, and for whatever reason i want to reply to that persons post, but i only want that person to actually see the post.
IS there anyway to achieve such a thing??

I suppose i could have it work by usergroup, and assign anyone i might want to reply specifically to, to this usergroup as a secondary, but i think it might be better if i had a way for only that one user (or other users) to see that special post

Could possibly set it up where your post to the user, comes up only when that user is logged on, via if condition username/userid. I'm to tired to think this out right now, so I can't really attempt it right now (and anyways it be a poor attempt since I only know very limited php.).

Well yeah, but what i want done isnt really a pm system sort of thing ;) i want to give certain usergroups the ability to reply to a post but only have one certain user of that post the ability to see the reply.

IE. my buddy makes a post, and i want to reply to it, but have only him see the reply, then i would <insert action here> and when i posted the reply, only he would see it.
Or say my buddy makes a post, and i want a few different people to see the reply but not others, then when i make the post, my friend, and whatever other people i decide, can see the post.

This shouldnt be an option just for me, i should be able to grant some usergroups (mods admins etc) the ability to do this as well.

Multiply every forum combination and that means you'd have a ton of bloat on that server, and for what? A feature that you could easily replicate by sending someone a simple PM? A hack like this would probably slow a forums server way down and I simply don't see it as ever being in wide spread use. I know that's not what you want to hear, but that's reality ;)

There is that. It would be to hard and big for what would be achieved you could of course set it up in vbulletin but it would take hours.
