Im going to try this myself as i dont think it shouyld be too hard, but my buddy was making fun of some n00bs and complaining that hes too lazy to scroll to the bottom of his posts to edit them, and wants the edit button at the top of his posts.

So I want to actually do it for him ONLY.

How would i make his edit button show up at the top of his posts only, and only for him to see it that way

well use an if of coasre, <if condition="userinfo[userid]=X">

its showing the button for everyone, not just this one user. I had to change the userid code causei was getting an error before, without the $, also $bbuserinfo doesnt work either.

i think it just needed == instead of =

It should be == and it should be $bbuserinfo (bbuserinfo is the person surfing)
