Well first off the instructions should be with the 3.6 files. If they are not then you just upload all the files in the upload folder into your forum folder overiding all the files. The in your browser go to your address http://www.youraddress.com/forumfold...ll/upgrade.php . From there you will need your customer number for your forum for version 3.6 .
From there it will guide you thru the upgrade process. It will upgrade to each version released even the betas and RC versions so dont worry it may take some time. I hope this helps and if someone else reads this and if i forgot something please let him know but I think I got everything down.

no it will just overide the files not your database. I upgrade yesterday and everything is just working fine and all members and settings had before are there. Now some of the mods might not work anymore if you have some installed but any type of templet mods will still be there. Again the files will just be overridden the database will not.

1.) Always make a backup of your database before upgrading.

2.) Always remove the install.php file before upgrading.
