Default Help with Auto-Login

Hey guys,

I've asked this question on vb.org but got no response. F1VLAD released a "force login" script for 3.0.7 which seems to work but I'm dealing with 3.5.4 and do not want to go backwards as I love 3.5 right now.

I'm running a SN Script that has a login "case" that I've tried to set cookies with through vBulletin but no luck...

The login case looks like this:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Now, I just readded this because I wanted to show how we were trying it... it was creating 2 sessions for some odd reason and basically, no dice!

You can read about the force login here: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...ht=force+login

F1vlad helped me alot but we couldn't sort out the problem. Now, I'd like to try to get this going again and hopefully get it working with the help of others. I'd REALLY appreciate any help I can get.

Any help, tips, suggestions or advice would be great!

Thanks!

This is indeed the right forum, sorry about not replying.. I must've missed this thread.

Now, onto the question. From what I've understood from your post, the problem you're facing is: You've got your hack to work, it does everything required.. but it creates 2 sessions while it should only make one.

Now, what do you mean by two sessions? Does it act like its 2 different users (set 2 cookies), or does it create 2 sessions in the database?

Also, your coding isn't really optimized for vB. You might want to clean that up a bit. ;)

Hi, well, it seems that due to the code creating two sessions that it doesn't login. I believe it's actually creating two DIFFERENT sessions which is screwing something up.

What do you mean about the code not being optimized for vbulletin? part of the code is for one program and then the forced-login hack is from vb.org... :ermm:

Basically, my problem is this... when I go from the site to the forums (already logged into the site) it shows the login box empty (meaning I need to login) but the "whos online" at the bottom shows my username. So, I'm confused as to what's going on. It seems like it's setting a cookie but it's missing another or something?

If it's alright with you - I will send you a PM with the Forum info so you can look. The only problem is with the name (it's not a porn site but has a "bad" name ;) ), some people are offended by it. It's basically just an 18 and over Social Community but not a porn site lol

anyways, I really thank you for the reply!
