Is there a way to get rid of the text boxed in red in the pic below for all and any new subforums? THanks in advance!

That would be the $vbphrase[subforums]. You would need to remove that from the forumhome_forumbit_level.... templates.

ohhhh ok see im so used to phpbb I wasnt sure apparently vbphrase=printed text. ok thanks ill give it a go.
