Forum Overloaded, please help ! Urgent

Hi,
There are usually around 200 users online in my forum (average). As a result, my users usually get the 'SERVICE UNVAILABLE' message since my host only allows 50 concurrent connections to a shared hosting site. Is there any way I can prevent this problem ? I heard something about using AutoRedirecting Page. Is this really a sollution for a crowed site ? THANKS

theres an option in the vB options drop down for load limits.

Server Settings...

"*NIX Server Load Limit"

add a limit in there, and your users will see a nice vB message like "Sorry, too busy right now"

Or simply buy / upgrade your hosting. Or consider moving to a dedicated server.

Both suggestions are good. Either way, action should be taken immediately or members will feel to discouraged to return.
