Unhappy Form Fields

I've been trying to create a new field for my submit post form called "related link" (source to all those unfamiliar)

I've managed to get it to send and update and everything, but my problem is that I can't get the form text to show up in the editpost.php file.

So once a mod goes to edit a post, that field disappears. However the title and message fields show up, despite the fact that I've copied and taken note of all the same behaviour of the text file.

This is what I mean:

This is the edit screen I see, with nothing in the related link field, despite having tried everything.

Does anyone know a brute way to do this or something?

I've tried this:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.
and it doesn't do anything

Have you tried just using $post[relatedlink]?

It doesn't seem to respond to that. No idea why but even after duplicating all the actions from $post[title] in both the editpost.php and functions_newpost.php, there is still nothing. Is it a sql thing that vbulletin uses maybe where only certain types of columns are given authorisation or something? I made relatedlink as a new column in $post[] and have had no joy.
