Default Error!!!

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to tls://smtp.gmail.com:25 (Unable to find the socket transport "tls" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?) in \includes\class_mail.php on line 536

Anyone know how to install tsl support??? I think I am supposed to install openSSL, but I am not sure, nor can I figure out HOW.

I am running my site (http://masterdesigns.no-ip.org) from my home computer, and all is well, but I get this error upon trying to use any email functions on the board. It won't even send the register emails, I have to register people by hand. Someone PLEASE HELP!!!

To install ssl support in php it must be configured manually. You can not use use pre made install to my knowledge anyway. I could be wrong and theres an installer out there that included ssl as well.
Youll need to read up on how over at php.net openssl isnt enough and while there isnt a lot to do there is too much for me to explain.
Its also been awhile since i did it.

I believe there's one or two projects which install the whole lot, but those generally aren't very good as they're all but optimized for your server.

I know! I tried four or five install packages before finding WAMP which is abesolutely imo amazing. I am running the latest version of WAMP which includes the latest versions of Apache, PHP, and MySQL as well as SQLmyAdmin and PHPmyAdmin. I have a windows XP Pro (stripped ed.) Machine running it. I have been reading about openSSL, and it's REALLY CONFUSING. If anyone wants to do it for me, I have a VNC set up on port 5800.

Wow! I love WAMP... all along it had it in there, all I needed to do the whole time to enable the ssl support was click the icon in the taskbar go to PHP extensions, and put a check on OpenSSL. It also has support for a whole shiz load of extensions. Most of these I have no idea what they are, but they are there already if I ever need them, and all I have to do is click twice and navigate a very simple menu. Man, you gotta love source forge products.
