Default Custom 404 pages.

Hi, does anyone know how I could create custom 404 pages for vbulletin? I'm running v3.5.4.

Thank you.

Ah thanks. So I'm guessing you can make them the normal way? By simply placing 404.shtml in the root directory and adding a line into .htaccess.

edit - could you please clarify one thing.

In the .htaccess when entering

ErrorDocument 404 /path/to/your/error/file/or/script

What would I write for the path if I want it to be custom 404 for:

http://www.mydomain.com/forums/
and not
http://www.mydomain.com/

The .htaccess would be located in /forums/.

Actually, I think a sub-forum somewhere for helpful links would good. A place for people to find links with commentary instead of just using google and visiting 10,000 useless sites first.

*hint, hint*

*looks around for Admin* ;)

Well, there you have it. You came up with a title for it and everything. The rules would simply state that you post only links to sites you found helpful and a brief description why. I think it would be a very valuable reference.

I might add it is something I haven't seen elsewhere. ;)
