I am not sure if it can be done easily but i have not got anywhere with it.

I am trying to get it so the posts and threads at the top of my covers forums is split between the 2 rows of columns and i am also attempting to get the columns so they show the new posts next to the image that are in that forum (a bit like the database here).

You can try playing a little with this hack by Xenon. Seeing as the templates are already forum specific you won't need to use any conditionals for it.

Just play around with it a little on a testboard and see whether you can transform it into something which fits your needs
