Well I don't think this iis a vb error. Maybe more of a server problem. Are u maxed for space on server? Maybe try chmod back to 777

My total disk space on the server is 310324 MB I am only using 399.35 MB
and the attachments folder is at 777, that was one of the first things I checked. So could this be a limitation with the php.ini file on the server? I thought maybe it could be so I raised it to 50MB but some people are still having trouble uploading.

The weird thing is one of my moderators is also affected by this upload failed issue. If I didn't already pay for 6months of hosting I would move my site tomorrow.

It can depend on the php.ini files. If the max upload size is smaller than the max upload size of the uploadable file types then it will error.

right, but I never changed the file upload size and it only err0r's on some people. Not everyone gets the err0r. unless my host changed it on me and didn't say anything hummmm I try and change them and see what comes of it,

As I said, it depends on the size of the file that has been attempted to be uploaded.

If its a rather large attachment they maybe timing the script out.

Check to see what your max execution time is at, and if its low simply up it to something a little larger.

yes they were moved from the database, but have been working fine for over four months till about a week ago. most members can post fine but there is a few that are having this "upload failed" problem.
