lol... well i've noticed people act like it's just a matter of knowing HTML and PHP - but i know both and have no clue how vB uses their templating system... and i promise i won't find any - i've looked on google, yahoo and msn...

The template system is stored in the MySQL database, and can be accesed using the Style Manager.

Instead of most programs, vBulletin doesn't store the HTML in the .php files, it stores it in the database.
Templates are then called using one of vB's functions, fetch_template();.

The reason why there are no public guides to skinning vBulletin is probably because many people sell their skins, and if the profesional skinners would release their guides, they would basicly lose money on purpose.

One, you need to know HTML, 2 you don't need to know much of PHP, but you should at least know the basic to know which variables are which, and last you need to understand how the template system works.
