Question Adding php or ssi to forumhome or any other template

I am trying to install the link exchange program called LinkEx, but to place it on my forum I need to add:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.
or

You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Whenever I try to add either of those it gives me a big nothing. Can someone help me out and tell me how I can get this working?

:-\ I created a table at the bottom of my forumhome and I would like to put this link exchange in there. How do I add this to index.php to make that work? There are also other templates (not forumhome) that I would like to include this on. Can you explain further please?

The template system is for html and a bit of custom html if you want to include another file to run with the script then you have to put that code into the file which the template uses.
