Default Accessing things like {$blockheight} in creating a plugin

Ok, so you know if you go in the style manager and look up the bbcode_code title/template ..you see something like this:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

So, what I would like to do is recreate this in a plugin that I'm creating (well, a majority of it anyway). Right now, this is the only way I see to do it (and I'm still new to this ..so don't laugh); however, I'd really love to be able to access the variables like {$codeblockwidth}, {$blockheight} ...etc as shown in the html above:

(only showing the important code..to avoid spaming you with useless stuff)
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Any help would be appreciated

You'll have to define them like you dead, and then instead of the $header and $footer variables call a custom BBcode template.

Hmmm... now may have lost me on that one ..hehe. What I have now works great except for that the width/height of the code box is whatever the maximum is for what was entered (ie, it doesn't "scale").

Let's say I created the template ....how would I call it within this code?

Ah, so the code works fine but it not dynamic?

Yep ...exactly right I could post the whole thing if you wanted. It's definately working as intended ...and will make a nice release once I get it finished.

But, I can't find anywhere an example of someone creating a custom bbcode that uses a <pre> type box where it grows to fit the code and makes horizontal/vertical scrollbars as needed (ie, as vbulletin [code] or [php] boxes do).

If anyone knows of one...if you could post the pertinent code here or send it to me, that would be great!
